Workshop on Piano Mechanics
In this workshop, we'll open up the piano and pull the action out; reviewing the general mechanics from pressing down the key to the hammer hitting the string. The workshop will also include a hands-on introduction to basic tuning techniques. Handouts with diagrams of piano parts will be provided, as well as suggestions for tuning hammers and beginner tuning kits.
Class sizes will be limited to 8 people to ensure that everyone gets to try tuning.
Tickets are free, RSVP required.
