Classical Music Sight-Reading Gathering: Celebrating Women’s History Month

  • 636 Dean Street Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

A4 Collective is dedicated to bringing musicians together and to present their work to the public. As part of this initiative we hold monthly events every 3rd Friday where classical musicians can join a community of players that shares an appreciation of chamber music and sight-reading for the love of playing.

This month's gathering will celebrate Women's History Month, highlighting compositions by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Louise Farrenc, Rebecca Clarke, Graznya Bacewicz, Florence Price and any other composers suggested by attendees.

There is a baby grand piano that is regularly maintained, 6 music stands and enough seating to comfortably host 25 people. If you would like to play, please send a message when you RSVP indicating which instrument you will bring. There is WiFi if you'd like to bring a tablet and download scores.

Tickets are free, RSVP required.
Suggested donations at the event.
