SERTÃO: Mario Cau & Edu Gutterres

  • A4 Collective 636 Dean Street Brooklyn, NY, 11238 United States (map)

For its second event in New York City, SERTÃO - a collective based in NYC and Long Island - brings together CAU and GUTTERRES for an evening with music, comics, and a panel at the end, where the artists will talk and share about their creative processes, work, career, and interact with the audience. The talk will be mediated by Octávio Deluchi. Usually, the highlight of our events is the possibility for the guest artists and audience not only to interact but to speak and talk about what they've seen or experienced throughout the event. That allows us to create a concept and idea much closer to the art as a living object and when we go back home after the events, we always bring a meaningful experience with us.

What do a comics artist and a guitarist have in common? Without a doubt more than you may think at first sight. Apart from being from Brazil, Mario Cau (Comics Artist, Illustrator) and Edu Gutterres (Musician, Guitarist) also share a love for music, arts, visual novels, and much more.

You can reserve your spot for free. The event will start at 7:30 pm, at A4 Collective (near Barclays Center/Atlantic Terminal, Brooklyn. During the event, a suggested donation of $20 (cash) or more is strongly encouraged, and the entire amount goes directly to the artists.

RSVP

In addition, you can also buy at the event some of the latest publications by Cau, such as Teardrop and Vincent in Pieces. They are both paperback, colored, beautiful printed editions by the Brazilian artist, but there will be limited copies available.
